Must Haves:
- Technical / Associate’s degree in electrical, electronics, communications engineering OR Navy experience
- 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and installing:
- Navigation, communication equipment, (Maritime NAVCOM systems)
- HVAC, telecom, security systems, etc.
- Comfortable working with high voltage electricity
- Experience using diagnostic and operational tools for maintenance:
- Multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.
- Comfortable working on Naval Vessels, wearing PPE regularly:
- Hard hats, steel toe boots, orange vest
- Ability to lift/ climb for maintenance and able to lift a max of 60 pounds
- Valid Driver’s License, Clean Driving Record, & US Passport
- Authorized to work in the US
- Comfortable being an independent / individual contributor

Insight Global is searching for an Electrical Field Service Engineer to support one of our largest maritime equipment supporters in the US. This role offers the opportunity to work as a Field Service Engineer on board vessels from deep sea, to both passenger and government segments, working on a wide range of marine equipment such as Radars, ECDIS, Autopilots, Terrestrial MF/HF and Satellite communication systems. Day to Day:
- Install, repair and maintain marine electronic radio and navigation systems.
- Inspect and test electronic equipment, components, and assemblies using multi-meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, and other electronic test instruments, tools and equipment;
- Perform radio inspections according to IMO and Class authorities.
- Adjust, align, replace or repair electronic equipment, assemblies, and components following equipment manuals and schematics, and using soldering tools and other hand and power tools.
- Update manufacturers software.
- Complete company required service report and documentation.
- Provide ships staff with technical advice and support.
- Driving to ports within a given radius to meet ships requiring service
